China-Thailand Cultural Exchange: Joint Development Based on Friendship

On Oct 23rd, 2023, Yangxin County Party Committee Publicity Department and Thailand’s Chonburi Technical College conducted a wonderful online exchange to promote bilateral cultural exchanges and deepen mutual understanding. Wei Zhonglin, director of the Spiritual Civilization Section, and Li Xinrui, director of News Office, attended the event as representatives from Yangxin County Party Committee Publicity Department, while Li Hua attended the event on behalf of Chonburi Technical College.

Both sides talked about the cultural exchange courses in November in detail. In terms of the curriculum, Yangxin County Party Committee Publicity Department and Chonburi Technical College jointly established some cultural exchange courses covering the history, culture, cuisine, and traditional handicraft of Yangxin as well as the culture, customs, and traditions of Thailand. By experiencing the courses, the students from both sides will have better opportunities to understand mutual cultures and promote mutual understanding and friendship.

Besides, both sides talked about their plans and ideas for future exchanges. They hoped that the joint development in education, culture, and other fields can be seen in both areas through in-depth exchanges and cooperation. In addition, they intended to strengthen mutual exchanges and cooperation in education by dispatching teachers and students.

To further promote mutual cultural exchanges, Yangxin County Party Committee Publicity Department will send some paper cuttings, books, tea sets, and other cultural articles to Chonburi Technical College at the end of this month. These articles not only demonstrate the featured culture and customs of Yangxin but also act as a vehicle for students to understand Chinese culture in a visual, in-depth manner.

The online exchange is an important step for Yangxin Party Committee Publicity Department and Chonburi Technical College to deepen their friendship and strengthen cooperation. It not only provided new platforms and opportunities for mutual cultural exchanges, but also developed new roads for the mutual cooperation in education.
